Front Page Trash

O h my god, where did the Candy post go!? I deleted it off the blog. I had all day to think about it and realized it shouldn’t be so blatent and forced in peoples face. Not your problem. So I moved it. It’s on the domain and Google will still find it just as easily (look here). That’s all I really wanted. Plus, the person who tried responding to it was just so far off, I realized I’d never be able to really explain exactly why I was impacted so much that I felt it was necessary to warn other people. It’s not something I would ever or have ever even considered doing before I met her. As the

Bearing Witness

O nly 20 minutes ago I was witness to a horrendous car accident which occured at Exit 339 on the PA turnpike. Literally 100 yards ahead of me, a vehicle lost control and began to swerve heavily across the lanes and eventually over the grass which separated the turnpike from the exit ramp. I glanced around to gather up where other cars around me were in order to avoid any panicked drivers, like the one next to me who slammed on his brakes. By the time I looked back, dirt was flying everywhere and a minivan was flipping over and skidding, windshield down, on the exit ramp. We all pulled over and I was only the 3rd car back from

Lincoln and I

“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have. I must stand with anybody that stands right, stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”– Abraham Lincoln Just happened across this quote. It does a good job of putting to words the type of philosophy I’ve tried to follow for years, now. Thought I should share because I feel we should all live by them.

Dreamhost

F inally, I have a few minutes to write down what’s going on. Right. So, I switched hosting services. I used to love ProHosters who are now owned by Carpathia and they’ve quickly become a company I hate to deal with. So a co-worker told me about another service, Dreamhost, who offer amazing rates for a TON of stuff. I used to pay for separate accounts for each website, but now I pay for one at a slightly higher cost, and put all my sites under it… and YOU, the viewer, never know. I was planning on doing this in May when my contract was up with Carpathia, but my client, www.fastpixels.com expired without prior notification (a good example of

Changing hosts/servers.Things are gonna be a little messed up for a day or two — and I don’t know what mail I will or will not receive (starting at 4pm yesterday). *********EDIT: Mail is working properly now, but I may have missed a few – so if you sent anything to me Saturday or Sunday, I might not have received it. I hope you like the new commenting system. Later, I’m gonna see how much I can do with customizing it to look better. More info on the whole thing will be in the next blog. Stay tuned.*********

Blind Pig

It’s official. I’ll be in Ann Arbor, MI on 4/8 for Tally Hall’s show at the infamous Blind Pig. They’re supposed to be debuting new material that night — not to mention, they always sell out that club and always make it a special event for the audience when they play there. I’m organizing a small pilgrimage of fans from the east coast to go out with me. If you’d like to be a part of it, please get your tickets ASAP (they’re on sale now through Ticketmaster) and let me know so when I go to rent a van, I rent one that’s big enough for everyone. Serious. Let’s do it.
