any of you know of my troubles with an ex-girlfriend of mine. If you’ll take a moment to read a comment she left me this evening.

The comment is basically a legal definition of libel and how it applies to internet publications. You’ll note the final sentance reads: “so i suggest you remove this link and page before i proceed to take action”

Apparently she missed the part where it says: “Truth is an absolute defense to libel or slander. No matter how malicious, how ugly the claim, if it’s true, our system of justice says that the writer is permitted to state it as a fact, and there’s no consequence.” Apparently, in her mind she forgets that I can easily bring in any of the people she worked with to back up my accusations. And perhaps she forgets I also can bring in my roommate to defend them, too.

What she may have remembered, though, was that I foolishly allowed her to have her journal back which would have been solid, unbiased evidence of her lies had I kept it in my possession.

Funny how she’s naive enough to do numerous things to fuck up her life but she’ll step up and take legal action on someone who’s telling the truth about her and trying to warn others not to fall for her facade.

Here’s the deal, sweetie. I’m not scared of your threat. I know who’s right and I’ve got a handful of others who can back me up. You’ve got nothing but your own word. But since you’ve already found your next person, I figure my attempts at warning others have fallen flat. So… since it’s obvious I can’t help the innocent, I might as well take down the link and page, since after all, that was my only reason for posting it.

Little Miss Legal Action, you were fun at times, but I hope I’m given the priveledge of witnessing your karma coming back at you just so I know you finally got what you deserve.

    first of all asshole i took this all on myself she had nothing to do with it, but i do have the means and the people to make it happen and if you choose to leave this blog up as well, we will see what can happen. By the way i’ll have to come out and see one of your shows, it should be a good time.

    Don’t you see I was only trying to save you? Don’t you get that? I couldn’t care less if she was hurt or unaffected by my words. My objective was to protect those who come in contact with her. That’s it.

    Furthermore, I took down the link and the “account of her actions,” so really… it’s time to let this all go, mmkay. I shut down my entire site. After a month, I put a link back up to the archives to comply with the request of a few people… and look… you’re still waiting there looking for something to do about me. Why don’t you call me and we can talk like human beings. I don’t need anyone harassing me at a show. I want this behind me, so what more do I need to do?

    if you were smart you would take down the comments and the bullshit statements about her and then we could both walk away otherwise we are going to have a problem….mmmkay! or like i said i can just come see one of your shows, what do you prefer?

    before I do, I just have to know if you honestly believe that none of this is true. Since this is the only way I can talk to you (whatever your name is) I figure I have no other way of asking. You REALLY think I’d go to this extent if I was making this all up? And why would I make it up in the first place? If I ended it with her, why would I care to make it even harder on her?

    it really doesn’t matter what i believe, i’m living my life and i’m doing ok and if all that was true then why would you remain friends with someone that did all that to you after you broke up?

    I didn’t remain friends with her. As soon as I learned that everything I knew was a lie, that was it.

    Just like everything you now THINK you know is really, sorry to say, a lie. And I’m serious, too, even though I know you won’t believe me… I’m still trying to get it through your head that I am not the bad guy here.

    Go ahead… ask me something. Tell me something you heard about me and I’d be more than happy to tell you the truth if you care to hear it.

    Also, let me know what it is that’s currently “illegal” in my archives here, because I see nothing.

    you were still talking to and hanging out with each other up until march and when that stoped is when you put up the first blog about her, i don’t care to ask you anything! finally i don’t care if what’s up there is legal, if it stays there we will have a problem.

    Oh that. Yeah, I decided to actually forgive her for lying about her child. I probably would have been fine but she kept calling and wanting to talk and hang out and apologize. Eventually, she conned her way back and I began to forgive her. That’s when I learned about how everything was a lie.

    So it’s going to be like that. It’s no longer legal. Now it’s PERSONAL, eh? If this even is actually “a friend” of hers, just know that I am not your enemy, okay?

    Tell me you don’t find any of her behavior odd.
    Tell me you don’t ever find that some things just don’t make sense about her.
    Tell me that you have read my accounts of her actions towards me and tell me you are choosing to ignore them.

    Tell me these things and I will take down whatever you want. But I still don’t know what it is you have a problem with since I took down what I thought was a problem.

    You can’t tell me these things, can you? You must be unsure… or you are her, hiding behind an illusion. (Again)

    Just think about these things.
    And when you find I was right, come by and say I was right and apologize for not believing me.
    And seriously, call me if you start doubting. I’d be more than happy to tell you how things really are.

    I’ll edit this post down to something I think might be less offensive, but not to the point I feel i’m sacrificing my dignity for an anonymous idiot over the internet.

    More threats! Wow! Why don’t you come beat the living shit out of me because I tried to warn you about her. Makes some real good sense.

    I hope she burns you worse than me, because at least you were given the priviledge of being warned.
