Update On Contest Rules

Ok, so it seems that the contest will actually first hold a ‘house finals’ at where I normally go. All 26 winners from the 13 weeks will compete on week 14 and it’s the top 2 winners there that go on to the Regionals in NY. Now it’s making sense. So if my calculations are correct, May 6th is the house finals. Supposedly I will be receiving a letter in the mail within the next couple weeks confirming all this. Good thing no one signed up for going to NY to support me! Whew… *raised brow*

Lots Going On

1. Things are starting to happen for me. I think. With a lot. No jinxing, though!

2. If you are a fan of Tally Hall, you can now join the Yahoo! Group I created:
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/tally_hall/

3. If you have a Live Journal account, you can join the LJ Community I also just created for Tally Hall: http://www.livejournal.com/community/tallyhall/

4. Yes, I am slightly insane. No, I have no chicken to offer you today.

More About The Contest

Remember that karaoke contest I’m in? So it appears the Regional Finals locations have been announced. The east coast regionals will be held in Skaneateles, NY at Cedar House Bowling Center. Skaneateles looks to be about 20 miles SW of Syracuse. My lord!!!
And the page reads: “The winners will compete in the Regional or State Finals May 16th – May 31st, 2005.” I have no idea yet if that means I have to camp out there while they run through everyone and then eliminate a few at a time or what. There’s going to be a hell of a lot of people competing at this Regional Final. They will be doing it over the course of a few nights, for sure. So… do they actually think it’s going to work if they score everyone and then pick the highest rated?! No way. They’re gonna have to do at least 2 rounds. So I wonder then, how they will do it. Damn.

Alright so my point is… Who’s coming out to support me?????? — *big smile*
It would be helpful to have a big, screaming crowd there for me. Come on. Road trip, people. Please? Think about it, ok? Thanks.

There’s too much water!

One of the funniest things happened to me today as I scraped a layer of sludge off my brain. I’d tell you but I already know.

Have you ever ran into someone that you knew years ago and when you saw them you knew they looked familiar and, scarier yet, you knew you hung out with them quite a bit. You were best friends for a day! …or a week, or a month, goddamn you just can’t remember for sure. So, you don’t know their name, you can’t recall a damn thing about them, but you should know. It’s only been a few years but it’s so vague, they might as well be out of a dream you once had. Argh. Too embarrassed, you will most likely walk away acting like you surely remember them. Today, as luck would have it, we both had this annoying phenomena occur at the same time (mine was worse). Luckily, a little quote from the past helped unlock some of those memories. “There’s too much water!”

D’ohhh…Nobody loves oily Homer.

Easy Thumbs

I’m not sure how many people this will affect, or how many will care, but I realized a glitch in my thumbnail pictures located on both the Artwork and Photography pages. I’ve fixed them all to bring up the full-size versions in the center of the page. And, if your browser is not compatible it *should* come up in a new window instead. If you have an incompatible browser (Mac users), let me know if you are not able to get a full-size image. Thanks!

P.S. I’ve done and added a portrait of your favorite band: Tally Hall. See Artwork.
